Internet Application (RIA) Developer

SLI Systems is looking for an innovative, experienced, collaborative RIA developer to join our development team. This is an opportunity to join the team working on our web-based Merchandising and Administration Console, which is used by our clients to control merchandising on their search and navigation pages, as well as view innovative reports about the usage of these pages. Supporting several hundred e-retailers from all around the world, and serving many millions of pages per day, SLI offers a terrific environment to work with other committed and talented people on challenges that are truly international in scale.

The ideal candidate will be able to implement the requirements in a quick and consistent manner as well as contribute to the requirement formation, including the architectural and technological decisions. We present a range of controls and data to our customers and are always looking for better ways to present this information. The candidate will be involved in this decision process and would be expected to produce innovative solutions. They must feel comfortable supporting rapid iteration and ideation processes, with all the challenges and opportunities that implies.

The requirements for a candidate would be:

• Excellent English communication skills
• Experience working in a multirole team environment
• 4+ years experience developing customer interfaces, or data presentation
• A history of involvement with the design of data presentation structures
• Skilled with standards based web presentation technologies, such as HTML, CSS, AJAX
• Commercial level experience developing rich web applications using a client-side framework such as Ext, Dojo, YUI or similar
• Experience with PHP
• It would be advantageous to have experience with display technologies such as Flash, FLEX
