Front End Developer

SLI Systems is seeking a flexible front end developer,  someone proficient in hand-creating strong, standards-compliant, cross-browser friendly HTML and CSS . Working with our clients’ code, the successful applicant  will  work with the software engineers to produce proprietary search engine results that render flawlessly in every browser configuration known to man.  This role will involve problem solving on a daily basis and will present many technical challenges to the successful candidate.

Clear communication skills are a requirement, as is the ability to train others to assist in upgrading the overall front-end development skill set  of the engineering team.

The candidate should have a relevant IT tertiary education, or equivalent work experience.

Technical skills:

• XHTML
• CSS (esp. CSS-based layouts)
• JavaScript (incl. jQuery)
• Web standards compliance
• Cross-browser compatibility
• Knowledge of W3C and Accessibility Guidelines
